Calling a customer service number and being forced to wait on hold is a form of torture. The wasted time, the awful music, the phone bills, it's just a mess. But a new app promises to do all the waiting for you.
FastCustomer is an app for both iOS and Android that lets you select a company to call from its menu. It will then call them for you, wait on hold, and then call you back when it gets a real-life person on the line.
It doesn't work for every company, but it does have a built-in list of 2,500 companies, including the entire Fortune 500, so that's something. I'm all for it; if I can go the rest of my life without waiting on hold again, that'd be beautiful.
