This high-tech cane monitors the user's health

Most canes can only tell you one thing about a user's health: they can't walk all that well on their own. But The Aid cane does much more than that.

The cane acts as a cane, yes, but it also monitors the user's pulse, blood pressure and body temperature, displaying all the info on a small readout near the person's wrist. It also has a built-in navigator that can help provide directions to any location, making it like turn-by-turn navigation for the slowest car ever.

It's all just a concept right now, but it was the grand prize winner of Fujitsu's 2011 design award, so it may become a reality at some point.
