If you're stuck out in the wilderness, short of a satellite phone, the best thing you can have is a well-equipped multi-tool. But when the rescuers finally discover your lifeless body, wouldn't you want to leave some sharp photographic evidence of how hard you worked to survive?

This multi-tool called the Steady from Gerber Tools looks like just the ticket. In addition to the usual knives, saw, screwdrivers and other essential tools, it turns into a camera tripod with a standard screw mount.

The Steady has a total of 12 tools, but other details are a bit sketchy at the moment. It will be available next year for $65.
