Jawbone's Up is a new wristband designed to track your health and help you stay in shape, tracking your behavior over time to keep you better informed about your body.
By wearing this sensor-stuffed wristband and using the connected smartphone app, it'll allow you to track your eating, sleeping and activity patterns over time. You need to take pictures of your food with your phone and to wear the bracelet every day for the full effect. But if you do, you'll get advice like a high-protein breakfast after a short night of sleep or some goading to get some exercise after you skip the gym.
It's an interesting idea, to be sure. Would you want to rely on a fancy bracelet and an app to keep your healthy? The Up will be available late this year for you to try out.
