Image of the Day: father and son at the first and last shuttle launches

Here's an excellent shot of a father and son and the first shuttle launch on April 12,1981 and at the last one on July 8, 2011. And it only took 30 years to complete.
The shot, by Chris Bray, really puts a human face on the retired Space Shuttle, from Columbia kicking off the program with STS-1 in 1981, all the way to STS-135, Atlantis's last hurrah. In case you missed it, check out the launch in the video below.
