Hulu, the super-popular if not super-profitable streaming video site, looks like it's up for sale. One of their early suiters? Google.

Apparently, Hulu has been meeting with companies such as Google, Microsoft and Yahoo to see if they can hammer out a deal. Google in particular is looking to add more professional content to YouTube, and with all the licensed material on Hulu, it could be a great fit for them. As for Microsoft, they just integrated Hulu into the Xbox 360, so you could see them seeing Hulu as good fit for them as well.

Of course, rights holders would still need to stay on board once any purchaser took the reigns. It's all very early, so who knows if these talks will lead anywhere. But it's still interesting to see just where Hulu's headed.
