Apple sells over 1 million copies of OS X Lion on day 1
Thursday, July 21, 2011 - 2:45pm
Yesterday, Apple released the latest version of its operating system, OS X Lion. Apparently, a lot of people grabbed it. Over 1 million, to be more precise.
Apparently it was no big deal to people that they couldn't get the update on a disc, with it only being available via the Mac App Store for the time being. I'm sure that the convenience of downloading the update coupled with the reasonable $29 price helped boost those numbers, but they're still pretty damned impressive for a single day.
Want to get the update yourself? Just hop on the App Store and snag it. Or buy a new Mac. You know, either way.
