Watch a cymbal wobble wildly at 1000 frames per second

Some things move so fast that we have no idea what they actually look like in motion. Cymbals, for example. Did you know they wobble around like a pancake when hit?
This video of a cymbal being hit, filmed at 1,000 frames per second, shows just how little we see when drummers are playing. What looks like a solidly flat disc bouncing around is actually surprisingly rubbery, its shape distorted greatly by the force of the strike.
It's an awesome video, one that's sure to make you think a little bit more about what you're seeing next time you're at a concert.
