Everyone's favorite green cyborg is back, and this time he has a little jetpack.

At the end of its E3 press conference, Microsoft gave the crowd a little surprise: the official announcement of Halo 4, which is being developed by 343 Industries (the in-house Microsoft studio taking the Halo reigns after Bungie went off on its own) and coming out during the 2012 holiday season. Master Chief, Cortana, the original Halo pistol and a really, really, really big spaceship are all in attendance.
