Electric scooter gets the Bat-treatment by 74-year-old tinkerer

74-year-old retired construction worker Brian Vann looks pretty silly wearing a Batman costume. Any of us would. He figured out a way to get beyond that, though: he turned his scooter into — wait for it — a Bat-Scooter. Now he's looking Bat-tastic!

Bat-Vann is soaking in his new-found fame: "People drive past in their cars and stop when they see me, get out, and ask for a photo," he told Metro U.K., "I feel like a bit of a celebrity. I know how the Beckhams must feel when I go out in my Batmobile. If it brings a smile to people's faces, then it's done the job."

This further proves that putting "Bat" before anything makes it awesome. Vann already has his next project planned, too. He wants to gussy up another electric scooter, this time as a tribute to the sci-fi "supermarionation" classic, Thunderbirds.
