Eerie pirate ship home theater is Jack Sparrow-approved
Why are people so obsessed with pirates and pirate ships these days? We haven't a clue, but dang it, this Pirates of the Caribbean-themed home theater in Palm Beach, Florida would make tolerating Johnny Depp's corny Jack Sparrow jokes a whole lot more pleasant.
For $2.5 million some rich folks down south are having Elite Home Theater Seats build them an entire pirate ship indoors with a ticket booth entrance, tavern and of course the ghostly ship deck. While the project is still in the building phase and there aren't any real photos of the the home theater, the renders they've mocked up do give you an idea of what the architects and designers are shooting for.
Here's one more view from the projection screen side:
Love the sails on the ceiling and the captain's wheel on the top deck. We just hope the tickets to watch a flick on this ship aren't too expensive and does it have 3D? For two mill, it's got to have 3D, even if 3D does suck. What about watching chick flicks in this home theater? How does that work? Wouldn't that feel weird? Whatever, where's that rum I thought I had around here?
