Pixelated fashion collection makes 8-bit living chic again

Do you long for a simpler time, when state of the art video gaming meant Legend Of Zelda played on the original Nintendo NES? Well it looks like the blocky style of 1980s 8-bit computer graphics is suddenly chic again, if Japanese fashion designer Kunihiko Morinaga's latest fall collection is anything to go by.

Morinaga points out that just as with the computer graphics, the collection looks pretty normal from a distance, and you only see the jaggies and blockiness when you get up close. Created for the Japanese couture house Anrealage, the collection saw its debut recently at the Japan Fashion Week. To create an appropriate atmosphere, the models strutted down the catwalk to a buzzy low bit synthesized music track.
