Pioneer multi-touch table makes Microsoft's look kind of puny

If you've ever dreamed of pushing virtual documents around like Tom Cruise in Minority Report, this new multi-touch table from Pioneer could be just the ticket. The Pioneer WWS-DT101 might look a lot like that vaporware Microsoft Surface table from a couple of years ago, but at 52-inches, it gives you about three times the surface area to play with.

Running software developed in house by Pioneer, the WWS-DT101 lets you manipulate documents with the push of your finger, and send them wirelessly to other devices like iPads and smartphones using TransferJet technology. The table runs 64bit Windows 7 with an Intel i7 processor and 6GB of RAM.

Price is yet to be announced, but lets hope it's more affordable than the $10-12K quoted for the Microsoft Surface table.
