Every year, the Michelin Design Challenge gives the design community the opportunity to go completely nuts and create vehicles with little, if any, basis in reality. By the look of things, this year was no exception, and we've got a gallery of the 13 weirdest concept cars from the competition.

"2ICEâ, is a switchable transportation, based on a simple, practical vehicle, ecological and functional. With its inner rim electrical self generator power engine, it switches from a motorcycle to a two passengers scooter, thatâs where the name comes from, ¨twice¨, as two times.

Pedestrian sidewalks built on an U-shaped road will lead to a decrease in traffic accidents and an increase in transit efficiency.

SUPERSONIC uses new-developed light extra-durable electric batteries (an advanced lithium-ion battery) which offer a long life (a longer range than usual, about 190 km of driving at higher speed around the town, and about 300 km at lower speed).
The new innovation is that those three super-batteries are placed at the rear part of the SUPERSONIC. They are removable from the vehicle, so owner of the car can take those batteries to recharge them at any place where it is possible (home, office, hotel, or specialized public electric station ). More at peace with the natural world, HALCYON embraces naturally quiet electric power and in turn eliminates emissions on the vehicles immediate surroundings. Aiolos aims at creating a pleasant urban environment in which users can produce their own energy by using the wind generated from these building forest phenomena. The wind power resources along with the solar power are renewable and infinite energy source. It is also a natural energy which does not generate air pollution and the greenhouse effect. Seoul is more reliant on oil imports so that severe air pollution such as the greenhouse effect occurs due to the huge population, economic gain and loss, and resource disadvantages; however, it is not easy to find its alternative. Therefore, Aiolos is suggested to reduce the ultimate energy issue as a transportation vehicle itself generate electricity by using the wind power.
Misha is a family car. And considering the psychology of young families it has an asymmetric body. The left side is more dynamic and swift (for driver can think sometime that he/she is single/not married). The right side is more quiet and has a large child's entertainment window (for driver understand that he/she has a family). It has a multiple-purpose electric platform, by wires control, four electric motors and unique wheels. Misha has the wheels that help in many difficult situations. It has sliding details similar to the paw of a bear with claws.
