Lego audio book helmet for kids makes actual reading redundant

Audio books are great for long car journeys or other places where you can't physically read a book, but I'm not sure if they're a great idea for kids who are still building their reading skills. This Lego helmet lets kids simply look at the pictures while the stories are read aloud to them.

The kid sized helmet makes your junior Lego fan look like a helmet wearing Minfig, while a USB port in the back lets you plug in downloadable stories that play through built in headphones. Concept designer Jonathan Robson sees the helmet as an update of the Lego Club comic subscription. That's cool, but I think the original idea was to encourage kids to read for themselves.
