iPhone app tells you how unhealthy your food is by taking a picture

Tracking calories in your diet can be tedious, involving checking charts and doing math. Who has the time when all you want to do is eat a nice, healthy bacon cheeseburger? But a new iPhone app claims that it makes things much, much easier.

The app, called MealSnap, says that it can give you the caloric content of your food by merely taking a picture of it. It's got a database of over 500,000 food items on board, and when you snap a picture of something it recognizes, it'll give you the nutritional info.

Seems handy, sure, but I'd like to see it tell me how bad for me this butter and sour cream sandwich I made between two pieces of french toast. Mmm, delicious!
