What are the odds that gamers will ever officially get a Super Mario game mashed up with Portal? Err...probably never, unless we're in an alternate universe. The gaming geeks over at Dorkly made this funny video showing just that — Mario cruising through the Mushroom Kingdom while wielding a Portal gun.

In all seriousness, Super Mario Bros. with a Portal gun would make his game kind of boring. It would take all the fun out of missing a well-timed jump over a pitfall, leaping over Bowser to release the bridge and failing to hit the top of the flag pole at the end of the level.

But Super Mario Bros. is a 2D game for the NES. Mario with a Portal gun in Super Mario Galaxy would be awesome. Bouncing from planet to planet would be a mere blast away! Hear that Nintendo?
