Honey, I'm off to go work...in a Sandcrawler
Man, if I woke up everyday and went to work at Lucasfilm Animation's new offices, I think I'd be in heaven. The house that produced The Clone Wars animation series will soon have a new office building that clearly resembles a Sandcrawler.
Having just broke ground in Singapore, the new eight-story building will be completed in 2012 and have a 100-seat theater and state-of-the-art digital production facilities.
Here's a Sandcrawler from the original Star Wars: A New Hope:
It's quite fitting that a production house that makes Star Wars animations will work in a Star Wars-inspired building. Maybe it'll help designers and artists brainstorm better Star Wars stuff.
Why stop at the decor? The Lucasfilm Animation crew should all trick out their cars to look like Landspeeders! Keep them coming Lucasfilm. I'm waiting for the Death Star, AT-AT and Millennium Falcom-inspired offices next!
