Head-tracking iPad app creates the illusion of 3D without the glasses

Well, this is neat. A couple of student developers have created a way for the iPad 2's front-facing camera to read where your eyes are, allowing for it to create the illusion of depth in the screen as you move the iPad around.
The illusion doesn't have a ton of practical applications, but you can imagine that some clever developers will create a crazy game using this. And heck, just looking at it makes me want to play with this. It's just neat. Who needs 3D glasses?
