First Xerox photocopier had a fire extinguisher, just in case

Seeing this 648 pound Xerox 914 photocopier from 1959 makes want to kick the crap out of my lousy all-in-one color inkjet printer/scanner/copier a little less now when it haphazardly borks out every other day.

You can praise the bulky photocopier and its 136 copies per hour capabilities all you want, but it's still no reason for Xerox to ship a machine that it knew would catch on fire. Why else would it include a fire "scorch eliminator" extinguisher? Apparently, watching your first 100 copies burst into flames was considered normal behavior for the 914. Um, no. Think of all the wasted paper!

I think I'll give me color inkjet a breather today. I promise I won't smack it around for not printing my Groupon deals properly, until I forget about the 914, which could be any minute now.
