Picture this: a suit-clad stock trader cruising down the streets of Los Angeles or New York City in a motorcycle taxi that looks like an ATV. Laughing all of that Big Mac out of your mouth yet? Moto Limos Club is planning to bring motorcycle taxis to those two cities next month.
The fleet will include 15 2012 Honda Goldwing motorcycles and a bunch of Bombardier Can Am Spyder motor-tricycles. Targeting business folk, Moto Limos Club's taxi memberships will run from $125-250. Bike rentals will cost $90 for a ride on a two-wheeled 2012 Honda Goldwing motorcycle.
Here's the best (and funniest) part:
Since the club is aimed at businesspeople, passengers will be provided a Bluetooth-equipped helmet for conference calls on the go. When the weather turns nasty, Moto Limos Club has all-weather gear to fit over your fancy duds and keep them high and dry, and when it's freezing, the club promises to provide passengers with a thick blanket to keep the chill at bay.
I'm chuckling at the Bluetooth helmet part. Apparently, only riders with "15 or more years of professional experience" will be able to operate these things.
