This iPhone-controlled kitchen island can hide in the floor

This looks like a normal kitchen island most of the time, but with a few taps of an iPhone touchscreen, it retracts into the floor. Welcome to the questionable future!

Built by Tim Thaler, the contraption allows him to open up the floorspace in his kitchen quickly and easily. The downside? You are then walking on the kitchen counter, which is presumably a place where you prepare and consume food. But hey, why worry about such trifling matters? It's controlled by an iPhone, guys!!!
