This must be a happy day for lonely bachelor dudes across Europe, because Penthouse is going live with the first 3D porn channel in a "pan European" rollout.

The channel will operate from 11 PM until 5 AM daily, and includes both hard-core and soft-core feeds. It's not clear where Penthouse is getting their content, but I expect it will include that Hong Kong produced 3D porn flick we reported on last year. The 30 hours of content will be refreshed monthly.

While 3D video has been struggling to gain a foothold in the market, perhaps the influx of some adult content could be just the shot in the arm 3D needs to really start selling. After all, it was adult video that turned the tables for VHS 30 years ago, so why not for 3D?

With its March 1 launch date, Penthouse is beating rival Hustler to the post with their own 3D channel expected later this month. No word on when either might become available in the US.
