Alain Robert, a certifiably crazy frenchman with a penchant for climbing up tall buildings just for fun, has just scaled the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. But hey, he used a rope! I demand a do-over!
Because this was an event sanctioned by the folks who run the Burj Khalifa, he had to use a rope and harness. In the past, he's just up and climbed these buildings, no ropes or harnesses or safety equipment of any kind. Sure, I want the guy to be safe and everything, but without the risk of a spectacular death, where's the fun in this?
