Well, it'll allow for personal recommendations for everyone in your household, provided they have separate Facebook accounts, which is nice. Otherwise? I'm not so sure. The real revolution was getting Netflix streaming onto TVs. Moving back onto the internet, just on a different site, doesn't seem all that crazy.
