Meet Met, the electric car with home swappable batteries

One of the biggest barriers stopping people from embracing electric cars, is the fear of wanting to go somewhere while your car is still being recharged. This concept eliminates that problem, but letting you charge an extra battery that can be swapped in as needed.

Using a quick swap battery isn't exactly a new idea, but this is the first proposal I've seen that lets you make the swap at home.

Designers Kyu-Hyun Lee & Sol Lee have decided to build the battery into the rear wheel, which by itself might not be such a brilliant idea. Having lots of weight that's not supported by the suspension tends to be problematic in any vehicle.

Lee and Lee call the Met a car for "single person families of the future", although that sounds like a pretty bleak vision of the future to me.
