Madness ensues as Verizon iPhone 4 pre-orders sell out in 24 hours
Well, wasn't that fast? Pre-orders for the Verizon iPhone 4 sold out in less than 24 hours since the floodgates were officially opened yesterday at 3 a.m.
Like the AT&T madness that happens nearly every time a new iPhone debuts, anxious Verizon customers swarmed the carrier's website causing it to go down temporarily from all the traffic.
For those who didn't nab a Verizon iPhone 4 before it sold out, here are some important dates: buy online on February 9 3:01 a.m. EST and in stores on February 10 7:00 a.m. local time.
Apple and Verizon must be very satisfied to hear the news. It seems the demand for the nearly 8-month old iPhone 4 is still strong, even with the impending iPhone 5 slated to arrive in just a few months.
