E-ink watch makes telling time kind of like reading a book

E-Ink watch concepts seem to be a favorite for watch designers, but most don't really take full advantage of the super high rez capabilities of their displays. This nifty watch from designer Jonathan Frey changes that, by spelling out the date just the way you might read it in a book, or on its E Ink cousin, the Kindle.

Th Horodron HD-01 does use a fairly conventional arrangement for the time display, but the overall effect with both the date and time showing is impressively sleek and modern looking.

None of the prior E Ink watch concepts we've seen have yet made it to store shelves, but hopefully the Horodron HD-01 will break that trend.
