Remember that ultra-slim Blu-ray player Samsung brought out last year? Well you can now toss that old clunker out, as it's about to be upstaged by a much slimmer replacement.
The new model will be about 9/10 of an inch thick, or about the same as two Blu-ray disc cases. What's really impressive is that they didn't exactly strip down the features to achieve this level of thinness. On the contrary, the new player will include a full suite of online streaming services, 3D playback, and some sort of quasi-3D mode that works with regular 2D material.
Price and delivery date will be revealed at next week's CES in Las Vegas.
