Go fishing for spectacular aerial footage using party balloons

Cool camera angles are one key thing that sets a professional video production apart from lame home camcorder footage. So here's a way to get some amazing aerial footage for your home movies, using a fishing pole, a cheap camcorder, and a bunch of helium filled party balloons.

The rig was developed by cinematographer Tom Guilmette, and in the video he shows how to make and fly your own version of his contraption for about $35 (plus camera). Just make sure you don't use it on windy days unless you want to see your camera go sailing off into the stratosphere.
