Ultimate sustainable energy car uses 3D modeling to get its hovercraft shape

The era of mainstream eco-friendly hybrid vehicles may have started with the Prius, but cars like the hovercraft-shaped Urbee may be the real future of these city-friendly vehicles.

Developed by Canada's Kor Ecologic and Stratasys, the car is the first to have its full structure 3D-printed using Dimension 3D Printers and Fortus 3D Production Systems. Although no release date or pricing has been announced, according to the manufacturer, the car gets 200 miles per gallon on the highway and 100 miles per gallon in city.
