Motorola Droid 2 Global's CPU shames old laptops into oblivion

The Motorola Droid 2 Global is going where no other smartphone has gone before — beyond the cookie cutter 1Ghz processor. BGR has an official leaked spec sheet of the Motorola Droid 2 Global edition. It's CPU will blaze past its competitors in sheer processing power.

The Droid 2 Global has a 1.2Ghz processor that will hopefully speed up the smartphone's functions. We expect multitasking and games to hold up on their own much better without choking. To put it into perspective, my laptop from around 2003 was barely pushing 1Ghz.

With these super fast chips and dual core versions coming out soon, we're super ecstatic for the future. In five years, we might not even need those super slim new MacBook Airs, if our smarphones start rivaling our laptops in features and speed.

Notable features include a 3.7-inch screen with an 854 x 480 resolution, 5-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, 16GB of storage (8Gb internal and 8GB microSD) and Android 2.2. And it comes in white, something Apple seems to incapable of making. We want more power — more power!
