Honda Air concept delivers lightweight engine wrapped in heavy style

The design geeks at Honda's Advanced Design Studio have whipped up a new concept car called the Honda Air that is all eye candy yet anything but lightweight.

The vehicle uses compressed air to power a pneumatic regulator system comprised of turbo vacuums. With a chassis composed of vegetable-based polymer panels, the vehicle weighs a mere 800 pounds and its reserve tanks can be filled via a gas station tire filler or a common off-the-shelf air compressor.

As if the concept behind it isn't cool enough, it's got a good look to go along with it. Check out more of the Honda Air in the gallery below.
