Fable tablet teaches social networking to the pre-school set

Meet Fable, a tablet made just for the kiddie set, due to become available next summer. Details in the press release are kind of sketchy, but we do know that it will come pre-loaded with content from educational publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

That all sounds pretty innocent, but I was kind of surprised to read that Fable also has a built in camera, and will let its young users connect with their friends and share pictures over maker Isabella Products' VisitMe network.

The 7-in touchscreen will also include apps for drawing, reading, and gaming. Gaming? Let's just hope that doesn't mean a special kiddie version of Call Of Duty called Cute and Cuddly Ops or something.

The Fable tablet will be available in mid 2011, the price was not announced.
