Credit Card for the blind concept could be the ultimate smartcard

Despite the sometimes stultifying effects of ubiquitous smartphones and myriad social widgets, advancing technology still offers a new sense of freedom for the disabled, a fact that makes the Credit Card for the Blind less of a mere concept, and more of an attainable reality.

Designed by Kwon Ki Nam, the concept device would use fingerprint recognition to identify the user (in place of a signature), would feature an interactive Braille display, and an audio speaker to indicate what items are being purchased. The beauty of this concept device is that, given current tech, actually bringing such a device to market is tantalizingly close.
