Western Digital's new 3TB hard drive is absolutely gigantic

Looking for more storage space inside your computer? Like, an excessive amount of storage space? Say hello to Western Digital's new 3TB Caviar Green drive, the biggest SATA drive in the world. You don't need this much space.

For the uninitiated, 3TB is equal to about 3,000GB. 3,000! That's enough space for you to keep hours upon hours of HD video or more music than it would be possible to listen to in your lifetime as MP3s. But if you're a data hog who is constantly running out of space and wants to just not worry about that for a long time, this could be your drive. And at $240, it's pretty reasonably priced for a world's-biggest.
