It sounds like Sony is prepping a new PSP2 for next Fall, one with some pretty interesting features. Mainly, a touchpad on the back of the device for an extra way to control the action.

According to people who have seen the upcoming handheld, it's got a screen that's about an inch larger than current models, dual analog sticks and the aforementioned touchpad. The touchpad will be "like a big mouse trackpad," and it would let users control games using their fingers behind the screen. It sure sounds interesting!

Apparently we can expect this next-gen PSP next fall, which seems like a long way off for something they're already showing behind closed doors.
