Report: iPhone hitting Verizon in early 2011

Could it be? Finally? After years of hopes and wishes, rumors and speculation, it's becoming increasingly likely that, yes, the iPhone is coming to Verizon.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple is currently planning to start manufacturing a new version of the iPhone 4 that will feature a CDMA chip made by Qualcomm. This chip will let this new version of the iPhone run on the Verizon network. Apparently, it'll be ready to sell in the first quarter of next year.

So, that means we've got six months at the most to wait for the iPhone to hit a second carrier. Have you been waiting this entire time? Are you excited? Or is it too late, with Android having stolen your heart?
