Fusion Garage thinks the world needs a JooJoo 2 tablet

Ugh, here we go again. Remember the JooJoo — the tablet that started off as the CrunchPad and was supposed to cost only $200? Yeah, the bulky 12-inch screen tablet with netbook guts is getting a successor.

Fusion Garage, the guys behind the JooJoo tablet are apparently planning a JooJoo 2. It will reportedly run Android, but might not have access to the Android Marketplace for downloading apps. FYI, the current JooJoo runs on Linux. It looks like Linux is getting another shot in the leg.

The JooJoo 2 is expected to land sometime early next year. Pricing has yet to be determined. It will have to do better than $500 if it wants to hang with the iPad and Galaxy Tab.

I find it funny that the company that reportedly sold only 64 of the tablets has enough funding to make another. Who really wants another JooJoo? Maybe they should try rebranding and getting rid of that silly JooJoo name.
