4-year time-lapse shows the rise and fall of skyscrapers

How long does it take to tear down one skyscraper and erect another in its place? In the case of these two buildings in Paris, the whole process lasted from January 2007 to September 2010.

Over those four years, director Pierre Jolivet used a single DSLR to capture 45,000 images of a Parisian building being deconstructed, only to have another built up in its place. The video offers some interesting highlights of the process of both, and it's amazing to think that in just four years time projects of this magnitude can be complete.
