Image of the Day: bizarre floating phone helmet
Tuesday, September 14, 2010 - 6:00am
Meet the isophone. This flux capacitor lookalike was designed by James Auger and Jimmy Loizeau to create a relaxed, isolated environment for making a phone call.
The helmet blocks out distractions, like that synchronized swimming class across the pool. What's left is a calm, private place to chat with fellow isophone users. Why such a limited audience? Because the isophone is meant to totally block out the outside world so the wearer can focus solely on the conversation — even the surrounding water is meant to be body temperature to dull the sense of touch. It's only fair that both parties participate.
