Of all the cool stuff shown off in the future of Back to the Future, the most iconic were definitely the hoverboard and the Nike shoes with power laces. We're still a little ways off from the hoverboard, but you can go ahead and cross real-deal power laces off your list.
No, they weren't created by Nike. Instead, this was a personal project by Blake Bevin, who somehow created what look to be a near-perfect pair of shoes that lace themselves up.
The lacing mechanics are hidden in the sole of the shoe, and they automatically lace up when you press your heel down after putting them on. But don't take my word for it, check out the above video to see 'em in action.
