Mobile marching band finally makes school band practice cool
Friday, July 9, 2010 - 1:51am
Composed of nine speakers and directed by Benjamin Newman, the Nomadic Sound System could be the first mobile marching band comprised of only 21st century electronics.
Aside from looking like one of the deleted scenes from Woody Allen's sci-fi film Sleeper, the kit, developed at the UK Royal College of Art, turns any group of humans into a virtual digital sound kit. In addition to checking out the video of the system in action, you can find out more about the overall project here.
