The main difference between a skateboard and a snowboard are the wheels, obviously. Without wheels, you're able to carve really steep turns using your edges; having four wheels severely limits your turning. That's not the case with the Flowlab skateboard.
Rather than having four wheels, the Flowlab sports 14 arranged in a set of curved parallel lines. They allow you to lean far into each turn, treating the skateboard almost like a snowboard. A traditional skateboard can lean up to 25 degrees, while a Flowlab ups that to 45 degrees.
There'd be a period of adjustment if you're used to a traditional board, I'm sure, but this looks like a pretty slick update of the classic skateboard.
