The current generations of iPhone have issues with their screens breaking if dropped. The iPhone 4? It has glass on both sides. And initial testing shows that it is just as shatter-prone as the past versions. Is it worth it?
Because even if you spring for the AppleCare extended warranty, shattered screens won't be covered, and you'll be stuck paying hundreds of dollars for a replacement phone. Heck, even Apple seems aware of the fragility of their new phone, as they're releasing protective "Bumper" cases for the first time.
Is it worth it to you to spend hundreds of dollars on a phone you need to treat like a Faberge egg? Or will you opt for a sturdier phone?
