Apple's rumored external trackpad — does anyone want it?

Apple has made multitouch a hallmark of how you interact with the iPhone, the iPad, the iPod Touch and MacBook Pros. Their only product still using a normal mouse? Their Mac Pro towers. But that may be changing with the introduction of the Magic Trackpad.

The Magic Trackpad looks to be just like the trackpad built into every MacBook, just without the MacBook. It connects to your desktop via USB and would presumably replace a traditional mouse on any computer it was plugged into — allowing for all the swiping, pinching and tapping that MacBook users are used to.

So what do you think, tower users? Would you trade your mouse for a trackpad?
