How to get all your HD movies on your iPad

You have a ton of HD movies that you want to watch on your iPad. Problem: HD movies take up a ton of space, and your iPad doesn't have much. Solution: Stream them at HD quality using Seagate's GoFlex Net, which lets you share video, music and pics easily over a network via Pogoplug service. As long as your iPad's on your home network, you can watch in HD through the Pogoplug app, but you can stream over the Internet, too (just at lower resolution).

The GoFlex Net sells for $100, though you have to buy storage separately. The good news: It'll take two 1TB drives, and you can easily make one drive a clone of the other to ensure you still have access to your files when you want to take the other with you. If you're sharing with others online, you can even set it up to send Twitter updates when you post new files.

Last year we pondered why we'd want a product like this with all the online storage available, but since the main place we use our iPads is in the home — and we love to check out a lot of video clips on them — we're sold on the usefulness of this baby.
