They've been doing a limited test for a while now, but today YouTube quietly opened up its video rental store for real.
So how does it work? Well, if you want to watch one of the movies or TV shows they have on offer, it'll cost you somewhere between $0.99 and $3.99 for a 48-hour rental. The selection isn't huge right now, mostly consisting of indie, Bollywood and Manga movies with a few major flicks like Precious and Brothers thrown in for good measure. Netflix probably isn't too worried just yet, but hey, it's a start.
