Japan's Bandai corporation recently took the wraps off something a bit more than a toy called the Hyper Telescope. The oddly shaped telescope--somewhat reminiscent of Luke Skywalker's binoculars on Tatooine--allows you to input your location on Earth and then have the sky's star information displayed on a connected television monitor.
Aside from doing double duty as an educational device and astrological camera, the Hyper Telescope just plain looks cool enough that any self-respecting geek would be proud to be seen holding it. You can pick up your own Hyper Telescope for just 16,182 ($173) here.
