An e-ink watch that's actually usable

E-ink isn't just used in e-readers like the Kindle. It's also been used be Seiko in some of their digital watches for a while. The problem? The viewing angle made it impossible to tell the time unless you were looking straight down at the watch. No sneaking a glance from the side!

Its new Active Matrix E-Ink watch, however, allows for a full 180-degrees of visibility, just like a normal watch. It's got a whopping 80,000 pixels, each capable of displaying four shades of grey. So if you were waiting for E-ink watches to come into your own, it looks like you've got your new timepiece.
